Indiana Jones and the Great Circle Looks Very Promising
Despite the pretty low pre-release hype and reservations from many fans, it seems that Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is living up to its expectations and then some. Reviews for the game, which will release next Monday, are out now and they are looking very promising. The game is sitting at an 86 on Opencritic with a spattering of 9’s and even 10/10’s from many sources including EuroGamer and IGN.
One site that was blown away by Machine Games’ latest offering was GamesRadar+, who gave the game a staggering 10/10 in the following review:
"Indiana Jones and the Great Circle shows that there's still plenty left for Lara Croft and Nathan Drake to learn about raiding tombs from the master"
Comparisons to Tomb Raider and Uncharted are high praise indeed and, if the game lives up to those remarks, it will be well worth picking up. If you’re in the mood for finding lost artifacts and, of course, punching Nazis, you should take a look at ‘The Great Circle’. Thankfully, this is also coming to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate on release day. This single player adventure is something that Xbox most definitely needed a win with considering some of their more controversial recent releases.
With the very positive critical reception to Avowed’s preview that took place earlier last month, it seems Xbox have begun their uphill stride after the disastrous and disappointing launches of Redfall and Starfield in 2023. If this trend continues, it bodes very well for Doom: The Dark Ages, South of Midnight and the next Fable and Elder Scrolls games which may release at some point this decade. For now, you can check out Indiana Jones and the Great Circle when it launches on December 9th for Xbox and PC.
